Clinton tries to shift focus from her emails to Trump

  • 3:12 pm Monday, October 31st, 2016 by Jamie Dupree

Buffeted by new developments related to the FBI probe of her email use as Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton tried on Monday to change the subject in the race for President, arguing again that Trump cannot be trusted as Commander-in-Chief, because “he loses his cool” too often.

“Imagine him in the Oval Office facing a real crisis,” Clinton told a rally in Ohio, as she mocked his short attention span and more.

“A man you can bait with a Tweet is not a man we can trust with nuclear weapons,” Clinton said to cheers.

To amplify that attack, Clinton went back to the [More]

Trump keeps after Clinton over FBI probe

  • 2:33 pm Monday, October 31st, 2016 by Jamie Dupree

Trying to capitalize on additional efforts by the FBI to probe Hillary Clinton’s email activities while she was Secretary of State, Donald Trump took his message to Michigan on Monday, denouncing Clinton and praising the decision of the FBI Director to make public the news that agents had located extra emails that might reveal new information.

“She broke the law over and over again,” Trump said to cheers, as he labeled the FBI’s new involvement, “absolutely devastating.”

Trump also very publicly saluted FBI Director James Comey, saying “it took guts” for him to make this move so close to Election Day.

24th batch of Podesta emails out, as Wikileaks vows new “phase”

  • 9:45 am Monday, October 31st, 2016 by Jamie Dupree

Yet another installment of hacked emails from a top aide to Hillary Clinton was released on the internet Monday morning, as Wikileaks teased critics of Clinton by announcing that it was ready to move into a new phase of its effort to undermine the Democratic nominee for President.

The release of the 24th bundle of emails from John Podesta did not immediately showcase new bombshells from Wikileaks, as a review showed what’s become a normal peek behind the curtain of the work of top Clinton aides, as they deal with her campaign, questions about her email server, and the Clinton Foundation.

Trump makes play for series of Blue states

  • 7:32 am Monday, October 31st, 2016 by Jamie Dupree

With just over a week left in the race for President, Donald Trump is making campaign stops in a series of states that up to now have been considered solidly in the column of Hillary Clinton, as the Republican nominee makes a late play for what would be some key Electoral Votes in November.

Trump on Sunday held a rally in New Mexico, a state that has gone to the Democrats in five of the last six elections – George W. Bush last was able to win it for the GOP in his re-election bid in 2004.

FBI letter stirs partisan brawl over Clinton emails

  • 10:48 pm Sunday, October 30th, 2016 by Jamie Dupree

A short letter delivered to Congress on Friday by the FBI Director about a possible new angle in the probe of Hillary Clinton’s email server swiftly escalated into a full-blown partisan brawl over the weekend, with Republicans cheering on a further FBI review of Clinton, while a top Democrat in Congress accused the FBI chief of “partisan actions” that might violate federal law.

In a letter sent Sunday, Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) said FBI Director James Comey was guilty of a “disturbing double standard,” as Reid charged the FBI chief was “tarring Secretary Clinton with thin innuendo.”

Trump keeps up criticism of Clinton over FBI email probe

  • 2:56 pm Sunday, October 30th, 2016 by Jamie Dupree

In the first of three western campaign stops on Sunday, Donald Trump continued to use a recent FBI letter about the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s email server to level a series of attacks against the Democratic Party nominee, arguing that Clinton’s “criminal action was willful and purposeful.”

“Hillary’s corruption shreds the principles on which our nation was founded,” Trump said at a rally in Las Vegas, as he argued the powerful cannot be allowed to live by a different set of laws.

“The only way to beat the corruption is to show up and vote,” Trump said, as he urged backers to [More]

Wikileaks releases more emails as Assange vows Clinton’s “arrest”

  • 12:17 pm Sunday, October 30th, 2016 by Jamie Dupree

With just nine days left until the elections, the internet group Wikileaks dropped more hacked emails from a top aide to Hillary Clinton on Sunday, as the founder of Wikileaks proclaimed that additional information to be released from the group would directly lead to the arrest of the Democratic nominee for President.

Here’s a look at some of what we’ve learned this weekend, after the release of the 23rd batch of Podesta emails on Sunday:

1. Still relatively little from Hillary Clinton. Wikileaks supporters have often talked about how the group is going to reveal damaging emails from Hillary Clinton herself, but [More]

FBI Director’s letter on Clinton emails roils campaign

  • 8:24 pm Saturday, October 29th, 2016 by Jamie Dupree

The surprise Friday letter on Hillary Clinton’s email investigation from FBI Director James Comey, which landed on the race for President like a meteor, was still burning brightly on Saturday, as Donald Trump used it to bolster attacks against Clinton, while Democrats bitterly denounced the motives of the FBI chief.

“This is the biggest political scandal since Watergate,” Trump said at a rally in Golden, Colorado on Saturday, as he continued to argue that Clinton should have been hit with criminal charges already for mishandling classified material from her time as Secretary of State.

“Hillary has nobody to blame but herself,” Trump [More]

Not just Podesta fooled by phishing email

  • 8:38 am Saturday, October 29th, 2016 by Jamie Dupree

As Wikileaks on Saturday released the 22nd batch of emails hacked from the account of a top aide to Hillary Clinton, the emails show that it wasn’t just John Podesta who was duped by a phishing email, but also those who worked in the Clinton campaign on IT did not immediately realize it was an effort to get Podesta’s password.

In a new message out this weekend, another Clinton staffer confidently says she’s ready to help Podesta:

Two other staffers had already assessed the phishing email incorrectly, thinking it was a legitimate warning from Google, that someone from Ukraine had tried to [More]

With just ten days to go in the race for the White House, the battle plans of each campaign are coming squarely into focus, as we can see where one side might trying to shore up support, while the other is taking a shot at a state that maybe wasn’t in their original campaign plan in the final days of the 2016 campaign.

Both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump ended their day in Iowa on Friday – Trump on Saturday will stump for votes in Colorado and Arizona, while Clinton has two events in Florida.
